Eminem — “Role Model” Certified Silver in UK

A non-single from “The Slim Shady LP” received its first certification in the United Kingdom from the British Phonographic Industry.

“Role Model” is notably one of Eminem’s most satirical songs, poking fun at the notion of idolizing celebrities as role models and life guides. While it had modest success upon its release in the US, the extensively censored radio version made it difficult for listeners to grasp the song’s meaning.

It’s possible that the attention on “Role Model” heightened with the release of Juice WRLD and Cordae’s track “Doomsday” in June 2023 through Lyrical Lemonade, which utilized the original beat.

Now, Eminem’s entire fanbase eagerly anticipates the sequel, “Doomsday 2,” slated for release on January 26, 2024, via Lyrical Lemonade, with Eminem credited as a solo artist. Cole Bennett has also committed to unveiling a music video for the upcoming track.

While waiting, take a moment to view the video of the song that sparked the inspiration for these dance moves – the original track named “Role Model.”
